My last doctors appointment is on Wednesday the 17th of sept. If baby Chloé isn't out by then, I'll have to do a sonogram to check her weight and to make sure everything is ok in her comfort zone. Then mayb discuss about been induced which I'm staying away from. My sister who is a surgeon in Nigeria, advised me against it. She said been induced should only be brought up if the baby is postterm or if something doesn't seem right. She's my personal doctor.
FINALLY... I can't believe it's officially O.V.E.R!!! I remember when I registered for prenatal appointments, my appointments started frm once a month in the first trimester to every two weeks in my second trimester then I upgraded to once every week in my third trimester.
Oh Lordy, the blood works creeped me out the most. I was too terrified that the nurse who drew my blood one time had to spray something cold on my hand before she drew the blood. She Said "we use it for kids and it numbs the spot and you don't feel anything at all" she lied. She took me for a fool. I'm scared of needles doesn't mean I'm dumb.
It's been a really tough, long and embarrassing journey. Most times my OBG asked if the medical students could shadow her. I mean I couldn't say no; I agreed. In other words I was like a specimen in a biology lab. Too many embarrassing moments. Most times, I did not think it was necessary to groom "that area" (TMI) I mean I'm pregnant, the doctors/OBG shouldn't care and are probably used to it. But when the male medical students have to watch or rather when she tells them to do the work, err, that was a bit embarrassing. Funniest part is when i eventually decide to groom "my area in anticipation, that's when the doctor/OBG wont need to see whats going on down there.
Now, I don't care anymore and honestly speaking, since I got pregnant, I lost all my pride and shame.
My latest research or curiosity is whether or not "that area" is supposed to be groomed in preparation for delivery. Il update you on the results.
